Buttons are satisfying

I’ve been using the Blackberry (again) for a couple days now after using the iPhone since day 2 of its release. You know what I am enjoying the most? Buttons. Nice clicky buttons. All the feedback a guy could ever want. Something the touchscreen will never do. Other things I am enjoying:

  • Easier 1 hand usage
  • WAY better battery life
  • Much lighter device
  • Better sound (the phone speaker)
  • More extensible (for now at least, pre iPhone sdk)
  • Keyboard shortcuts
  • REAL real-time email delivery

Things that I miss about the iPhone:

  • The “real” web browsing experience
  • The ringtones
  • The camera
Sadly, that’s about it. I think the iPhone is a magnificent device for normal consumers but not necessarily for an avid email user which is the main reason I carry a device at all.
